Our Planet Our Voice
Here at Planet Over Profit our main aim is to provide a platform for young African environmentalist to work together on sustainability solutions with the international community. As a Social Enterprise we observed the great organisations tackling our environmental challenges with majority of the funded ones highlighting national challenges.
We found that the sustainability and environmental challenges are unique in developing economies while their voices and innovation of the communities can provide global solutions to our planet. With all our campaigns and programs based on selected UN Sustainable Development Goals, our approach allows decent employment while improving gender equality in employment.
Planet Over Profit provides education and training through introduction of technology skills, community educational and cleaning campaigns. Working closely with UK environmentalist the knowledge and technology shared has been a great benefit for both communities.
Programming and community engagement are at the heart of our strategy. We invest heavily in supporting the development of integrated solutions and delivering reliable tools to those who need them most. Education & Outreach
Doing What’s Needed
Most of our efforts relating to this program involve studying new approaches and developing innovative ways to implement them. We evaluate our success in this field by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure changes and report back solutions to communities.
Tackling the Issue
We see every challenge as an opportunity, and this initiative helps us ensure that our partners are better prepared to manage the unique situations they find themselves in. We are dedicated to using innovative approaches that empowers the community and delivers the support they need, when they need it.
Making a Difference
Through our Support Services, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Planet Over Profit, and a source of much success for our social enterprise. Get in touch with us today and see how you can support this program.
We provide subscription programs for our supporters to get involved in playing a role in protecting our planet. As we always encourage corporations to become key funders of our programs we are aware that individuals will play the biggest role of change.
Here are some of the programs designed around the required key sustainability and environmental skills highlighted from our community research.
This program is a great entry point into the education of the environment as it requires no skill and education which is a pre requisite in some communities. Supporters of the program provides individuals with the equipment and welfare facilities to remove pollution from the land and waterways.
With the main objective to remove plastic waste and educate on the importance of minimising single use plastic, this programs have an instant positive impact on the communities.
Named after Queen Nzinga, we are very proud of this program as it is aimed towards improving the technology skills of women in the community. One of the more efficient way to close the gender equality gap while contributing to the solutions on the planet is through technology.
By providing the basic training and improving the knowledge and benefits of technology, it allows many for the first time to interact properly with more advanced economies. Bridging this gap can forge great future relations with young African women environmentalist and the rest of the world.
Promoting British Environmental Awareness
As most in the UK will have seen there is no larger figure in educating the country on the wonders of nature and what we must all do to preserve our planet is Sir. David Attenborough. One of Britain best international exports we designed a program built on some the findings of Sir. David.
This program provides individuals and groups the education and skills required to plan, manage and report on their own projects. By giving the skills and experience to successfully implement individual environmental projects, the confidence of communities to provide economic growth and reduction of poverty will make a positive impact on the global challenge.
